Bazaar Tents was founded in 2000 as a small, family run business importing tents from the Punjab, for use as garden marquees. It started after a relation brought a tent home having been living in Kuwait. At the time, we were looking to start up a business that could fit around bringing up our four children and other work. Over the years, we have developed our expertise in all matters relating to the import and sale of tents. Our children, now grown up, are remarkably knowledgeable on the subject and are still involved with the business to differing degrees.
Our customers are largely other families who are using the tents for celebrations, camping and expeditions. Some people have bought three or four tents from us and we are always delighted to hear of 10 - 15 years old tents that are still in use.
Our tents have been used as part of the base camp for both the Help for Heroes supported Flying for Freedom expedition and the Wetlands and Wildlife Trust sponsored Flight of the Swans expedition.
We are currently working with a new supplier to develop a polycotton version of our original Bazaar and Haj tents, which we hope to have available for sale by the end of June 2018. In the mean time we have in stock a number of traditional shelter tents made in cotton canvas. We are very much looking forward to the coming year and the opportunities that our new products will bring.
