Bazaar Tents was founded in 2000 as a small, family run business importing tents from the Punjab, for use as garden marquees. It started after a relation brought a tent home having been living in Kuwait. At the time, we were looking to start up a business that could fit around bringing up our four children and other work. Over the years, we have developed our expertise in all matters relating to the import and sale of tents. Our children, now grown up, are remarkably knowledgeable on the subject and are still involved with the business to differing degrees.
Our customers are largely other families who are using the tents for celebrations, camping and expeditions. Some people have bought three or four tents from us and we are always delighted to hear of 10 - 15 years old tents that are still in use.
In 2016 our tents were used as part of the base camp for both the Help for Heroes supported Flying for Freedom expedition and the Wetlands and Wildlife Trust sponsored Flight of the Swans expedition.
We have changed our supplier this winter, and in 2017 we will be able to offer higher specification tents both in traditional cotton canvas and for the first time in a polycotton canvas. We are very much looking forward to the coming year and the opportunities that our new products will bring.
